Get the Spotted look!

Hello,

I saw a few days ago an amazing tutorial done by Cute Polish on youtube. I found it so cool and was so impressed with the result I had to try it as soon as possible. You can find this tuotial HERE.
And thanks to Pam from Girly Bits for sharing this video on her FB page ;D

This tutorial from Cute Polish will explain you how to create a spotted look. You'll get a similar restult as with OPI Black Spotted (HERE & HERE)!

I tried this technique over my current manicure, which was Essie Mamba and then used Essie Decadent Dish to create the spotted look.

To create this look, you will need 2 different nail polishes, a sprayer, some water, and tape to avoid getting polish all over your fingers.

Here I used some Merfen spray, which is a disinfectant. It's an aqueous solution. I also tried using ethanol, and some perfume. The 3 solutions work but with slightly different results. With ethanol and perfume, you get the same result, i.e., you spray and immediately get spots that will not get bigger if you wait a few seconds. On the contrary, with aqueous solutions, you spray and after 2 seconds you will get the spots and then the spots will grow. So you have to work a bit faster with aqueous solutions, but honestly the 3 solutions are adequate to create the spotted look!

Of course the size of the sprayer you use will influence the size of the spots you obtain. Moreover, if you spray close from the water you will get larger spots. That's why you will have to get some practice before getting the design you want.

Here is a tutorial I did. Once again, I want to give credits to Cute Polish for the idea of this design :D
